South California Surf Adventure - LA to Dana Point

A surf camp guide will pick you up at your designated meeting time and point at LAX. Head down the highway towards the comfortable and authentic coastal town of Dana Point, where your Surf Adventure begins.

You will arrive at the hotel and your room will be ready upon arrival. Your guide will show you around the hotel and make sure you know where breakfast is. And of course, you will also be shown the pool. It's time to meet the other guests who have just arrived or already in house, and just like that you have a new surf family.

The rest of the day is yours to relax, get a nice meal, hydrate, and to get a good night's sleep because tomorrow, the surfing starts at 08:00!

Your surf guides meet you in the hotel courtyard at 08:00, and it’s time to pass out the surf equipment that you will keep for the week. Once this is done, we hit the road in the SUV’s for a short ride to the beach.

At 09:00, we’re on the beach! If you are a beginner surfer, you'll be heading to the northern San Diego area, where we will find sand bottom waves for you; perfect for learning. Today is all about finding comfort on the board, in the ocean, and just having an awesome time with your first rides!

Around 12:00, we finish up the morning surf session and now its time for some lunch! A local recommendation is always on offer, however if you’d like, you’re free to cruise the town, have something nice on the beach, and get some rest before the 14:30 surf session. Enjoying the neighborhoods between surf sessions is something you can look forward to all week.

We're back in the waves around 14:30! Practice makes perfect, and the second session is all about more comfort, and using all the things you've learned in the morning to have an even better session. After surf, it's back to the hotel for some much needed rest, hanging out by the pool, a cold beverage and surf storytime with the other guests. The night is yours.

An early morning start gets you in the iconic surf zone of Huntington Beach. Your guide finds the perfect area for your level, leads a warmup on the beach, and answers any questions you have. Then it’s time to hit the waves.

You’ve probably just had your best surf session yet, and now its time to cruise “Surf City”: Huntington Beach, California. Shop, eat, cruise, bike, tan, volleyball. Have a blast.

After you finish your afternoon surf session, you will cruise down Pacific Coast Highway 1 through Newport, Laguna Beach and back to Dana Point for a siesta, dinner and hanging out.

One of the best surf towns on earth is San Clemente, located just minutes from Dana Point. It’s home to some truly world-class surf spots. Your guide will take you to one of the many perfect options for your new found surf skills! A great full day relaxing at the
beach is the perfect mid week option. After 2 surf sessions, you’ll be feeling amazing! Listen to good music, hang out with friends, surf all day… Yep, you are definitely on a surf trip in California.

At 19:00, the whole crew will be meeting at the local beach for plenty of bbq food, drinks, snacks, bonfire and a great hang out. Hope to see you there! Come hungry….

It’s a slightly earlier start, 07:00, but don’t worry... you’ll have a good 30-45 minutes to sleep some more in the car because today we’re heading to check out some different types of waves. By now, the surfing feels good and you’re definitely feeling the progress.

This afternoon is yours to explore the awesome, hipster friendly, surf town of Encinitas. Plenty of great food, boutique shopping and great coffee will surely fill your soul.

It’s your last day of surfing. And what better way to make the most of it than to park the trucks and hike into one of California's most pristine parts of the coastline? Find your space with nobody around and enjoy nature, perfect surf, and a beach all to yourself.

It’s a good thing you have a guide with you because you’d probably never find this place on your own. Surf your heart out, enjoy the weather, enjoy your surf crew and soak it all in. We’ve loved having you and hope you’ve loved it as well.

A full day surfing and it’s Friday beverages at the hotel. Kick back, relax, and share stories with the crew. If you have enough energy, hit the bars and clubs to really go out with a bang!
