Hi! I am Erin Sars, I’m 20 years old and I live in Utrecht (the Netherlands). Next year I will start a new a studie Pedagogy. I have two jobs, one in a cute little coffee shop and one in home care for elderly.
In my spare time, I like to meet up with friends and do the most crazy things together. I also like sports, cooking, shopping, parties and last but not least: travelling!
Last year, after graduating from high school, I took a gap year in which I travelled to South Africa with a group of young people. We did volunteer work, safaris and saw the moet amazing nature. This was definitely one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever experienced, and my love for travelling has grown a lot because of it.
The feeling of travelling with a group was very comforting to me, but I’d also like to go outside of my comfort zone by travelling alone.
If I would be chosen as the winner of the Kilroy giveaway, I would spend the money on a plane ticket to a country in Asia. Countries like Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia seem beautiful to me. I would love to get to know locals and see how they live. Also, because of my love for animals, I’d love to see the nature and possibly do something for the animals if I can.
I would like to see the rainforest Taman Negara in Malaysia, but also the night markets in Bankok, the beaches of Bali, a boat trip to the fishing village in Phang Nga Bay, the Grand Palace in Bangkok, the Water Temple in Bali and so much more! I would also look for hostels where I could meet other young people to hang out with sometimes. I’m curious to see what this journey will bring me now and in the long-term, and what I can do to positively change how Kilroy’s followers view these amazing countries!
